One of the hardest habits for me to break is to NOT finish my plate. I was raised to do that, especially at restaurants, so i’ll eat way more than I need to when i’m out because of it!

THIS IS SO TRUE.

When in these situations, I try to ask myself, “If this weren’t here, would I have sought out this item? Would I have gone through the effort to obtain this food?” Usually, the answer is no. I’m only wanting it because I happen to realize it’s there. And that helps me to acknowledge how unimportant the food is to me, making it easier for me to say no.
